Putting on the uniform is part of the normal working hours in the police force
6 A 2151/14 (VG Gelsenkirchen, 1 K 5929/12)
The 6th Senate of the Administrative Court of Northern Westphalia ruled on the 3rd November that the time an officer spends putting on and taking off the respective gear is not before his shift, but actually during it. The officer has thus rendered service beyond the working hours due. This might possibly result in a claim for compensation on the part of the applicant.
