Employment contract advice and representation

Employees are the heart and brain of a company – and vice versa, for most people the workplace is of central importance to their lives. For this reason, labour law is of essential importance for employees and companies.

German labour law is not governed by a single law, but by both general civil law and a number of special laws. This makes it comparatively confusing. Added to this are the collective agreements negotiated between employers’ and employees’ represe ntatives and the increased civil law restrictions on pre – formulated employment contracts and case law since 01.01.2002. Last but not least, when it comes to labour law, neighbouring areas of law such as social law (unemployment, health and pension insurance!) and tax law must also be taken into account.

We provide you with guidance in employment law and work with you to draw up contracts that uphold what has been agreed.
Our focus is on clients who have little or no experience with German labour law. Bilingual contracts and reviewing contracts from other legal systems for their applicability in Germany are no problem here.

A particular focus of our work is also the deployment of employees from home offices and international teams, which has not yet been comprehensively regulated either in German labour law or in social security law and which entails considerable cost risks – especially for the employer.

Our services include in particular:

  • result-oriented advice on all labour law issues and problems
  • Advice and drafting of employment contracts, also in several languages
  • Advice and negotiation in the event of breaches of contract
  • Preparation of and advice on warnings and dismissals
  • Administration of employment relationships and contracts (employment service plus) for companies
  • Initiation and conduct of out – of – court negotiations
  • Representation at all German labour courts
  • Enquiry of legal protection insurances and direct liquidation
